Washington Wizards got back over the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday with Washington using a ‘hack-a-Simmons’ strategy to take advantage of Ben Simmons’ struggles from the free-throw line.

The three-time All-Star went 5-of-11 from the line in Monday’s 122-114 loss in Game 4. Through four seasons, he has knocked down 59.7 percent of his opportunities from the line, and he shot 61.3 percent in 2020-21.

The Sixers’ All-Star made had zero makes in nine attempts prior to Game 4 of the series. However, Simmons is not afraid of Scott Brook’s strategy as the series is heading back to Philadelphia.

“Just step up and knock them down. I’m not afraid of that strategy. I’m not upset. I’m not really worried about people fouling me. It’s basketball,” Simmons said after Monday’s loss.
