Sixers’ Joel Embiid leaves Game 4 vs. Wizards with knee injury

Philadelphia 76ers superstar big Joel Embiid was ruled out from the rest of Game 4 vs. Wizards with a knee injury. The Sixers called the injury a knee soreness.

Embiid took an awkward fall late in the first quarter where he appeared to land on his lower back/hip and continued to play after the fall before ultimately going to the locker room.

It’s still unclear what’s the severity of the injury, however Embiid will have the chance to rest if Philadelphia sweep the first round series.

The Kansas product was an MVP candidate leading the Sixers in scoring (28.5 points per game) and rebounding (10.6) during the regular season.
