Kyle Kuzma on his role in absence of Anthony Davis

The Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma has accepted his role of not having to score many points for his team and instead focusing on other aspects of the game.

But with Anthony Davis potentially missing Game 5 against the Phoenix Suns, Kuzma could see the ball in his hands more. If that is the case, the 25-year-old forward does not think it necessarily means he would be scoring 30 points.

“If he [Anthony Davis] doesn’t [play in Game 5] that just means I’ll have the ball in my hands a little bit more,” Kuzma said after Game 4 loss to the Suns. “Whether that means a score or make the right play.

“I always try to do, it’s not just go out there and just ‘now I got to just try to score 30.’ It’s not that. Don’t expect that. It’s being out there, playing sound, being in the right spots, get my teammates better and when I’m open be aggressive.”
