Milwaukee Bucks guard Donte DiVincenzo has suffered a serious tendon injury in his left foot and will miss the remainder of the playoffs, according to Shams Charania.

DiVincenzo suffered the injury in the first half after playing only nine minutes and did not return to Game 3 against the Miami Heat.

It’s a big blow for DiVincenzo and the Bucks, as the 24-year-old has played a significant role for a team that has championship aspirations.

In 65 games this season, he averaged 10.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.1 steals per game in 27.5 minutes per game.

Bryn Forbes and Pat Connaughton will likely be the main candidates to fill in the minutes vacated by DiVincenzo.

The Bucks have mainly used a nine-man rotation for the series against the Heat that includes their five starters (Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, Brook Lopez and DiVincenzo) and four bench players (Forbes, Connaughton, Bobby Portis and P.J. Tucker).

It’s unclear if the Bucks will choose to go with an eight-man rotation going forward or give some playing time to another player or two, potentially veteran Jeff Teague or rookie Jordan Nwora.
