Kyrie Irving made the headlines recently after he asked the Boston Celtics’ fan to not display any “subtle racism,” among other things, when he returns to TD Garden for Game 3 between the Nets and the Celtics.

Irving’s former teammate and Boston’s fan favorite Marcus Smart shared his thoughts on the matter, and backed the Nets’ superstar comments.

Smart’s comes after a bad day for NBA fans in general as fans in Philadelphia and New York were banned because of their bad behavior against aimed at star players.

Celtics will face the Nets for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference on Friday in a playoff series that are much one-sided so far with Brooklyn having a commanding 2-0 lead.
