For the second time in his career Simas Jasaitis returns to Lietuvos Rytas looking to revive his career.

The 32-year-old veteran has been unemployed since the end of last season after he parted ways with Lokomotiv Kuban. He signed a 1+1 deal with the Vilnius side.

Jasaitis, a Lithuanian national regular, played at the FIBA World Cup 2014 in Spain but couldn’t find an acceptable offer on the market until now.

The addition of Jasaitis gives Rytas a much needed experience. Veteran Ksistof Lavrinovic has also been signed at the end of Eurocup’s first group stage as well.

Jasaitis became the third player to join Rytas during the season after Zygimantas Janavicius and Ksistof Lavrinovic.

Two-time Eurocup winner Lietuvos Rytas starts its Eurocup Last 32 campaign on Wednesday against Polish champions PGE Turow, who were eliminated from the Euroleague.
