Anthony Davis had a season-high 42 points as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Phoenix Suns a couple of weeks ago, despite missing LeBron James. The two teams will meet again on Sunday as the first round series of the playoffs begin.
Lakers head coach Frank Vogel was asked about what his team can take from their latest win against the Suns. “I just think we did a good job of countering and taking what the defense was giving us. More so in that game than any,” he said.
“But you can’t take a whole lot away from one game out of 72. Phoenix didn’t play a great game defensively that night. They’re a top seven defense in this league and we know that they’re gonna put up a hell of a fight. But there’s some fundamental things that we did well in that game that we have to try to repeat.”
