Robert Horry on how Lakers could dominate Suns in playoffs

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns will clash in the first-round series of the playoffs after the defending NBA champions secured the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a play-in game win over the Golden State Warriors.

This season, the Lakers and the Suns played three games against each other, with Phoenix winning two of them. However, Anthony Davis was absent in two of Los Angeles losses. When AD was available, he dropped 42 points on the Suns and led his team to a convincing victory.

According to a seven-time NBA champion Robert Horry, the Lakers have tools to dominate the series. “Basketball is a game of matchups,” he said on Spectrum SportsNet. “If you look at this Phoenix Suns team, they got a lot of guards and the Lakers have a lot of guards. But what better way, I said just before, this is lead up game.

“Devin Booker is a sort of a Steph Curry but he’s not as lethal as Steph Curry from outside. Now, the Lakers have already had that challenge. Now they’re going to step into this challenge of Devin Booker ‘Oh, we just came off a guy like that, just came off a guy like CP3.’

“So they’re ready. They a little prequel of what’s going to happen. This whole bracket is all about guard unless you get to Denver. So the Lakers are going to dominate with the guards and they can dominate inside because they have nobody. If AD wants to be dominate and start his game off in the post, they will dominate.”
