Wesley Matthews and the Lakers remain confident ahead of the first-round playoff series against the Phoenix Suns.
Matthews said the Lakers know they are one of the best teams in the NBA, but they are expecting a tough challenge vs the Suns.
“We don’t view ourselves as the seventh seed, so that’s that, I guess. We’re going to have our work cut out for us. … by no means is it going to be easy,” Matthews told reporters, via Ryan Ward of Lakers Nation.
The Lakers survived a late thriller over the Warriors in the play-in game (100-103) and will now face the Suns in the first round. Game 1 is on Sunday at Phoenix.
