Bradley Beal on Jayson Tatum dropping 50 on Wizards: “He’s a special talent”

Boston Celtics got past the Washington Wizards thanks to Jayson Tatum, who exploded for 50 points on Tuesday’s play-in matchup vs. Wizards.

Tatum’s longtime friend Bradley Beal was able to see his performance first-hand as an opponent. The Wizards could not stop the St. Louis native as he propelled a Boston comeback in the second half to secure a 118-100 win.

Beal called Tatum a special talent, claiming that this was his best game of his career so far. Tatum had 23 points in the third quarter as he crushed Washington’s defensive plan.

Tuesday’s win gets the Celtics the seventh seed as they prepare to face the mighty Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the playoffs.

On the other hand, Beal and co. will need a win against the Indiana Pacers on Thursday to get back in the postseason for the first time since 2018.

The winner of the game between the Wizards and the Pacers will face the first-seeded Philadelphia 76ers.
