Los Angeles Lakers point guard Dennis Schroder has revealed he won’t be wearing Kyrie Irving sneakers anymore, following their clash during his team’s 126-101 win over the Brooklyn Nets last month.
The guards were both ejected after getting in each other’s faces – so that’s that for Schroder and the shoes. The German posted a video to YouTube showing off his sneaker collection on the weekend and, nearing the end of the video (8:37), said he can’t wear Kyries anymore because of their confrontation.
He also noted plans to give them away.
“Unfortunately, I can’t wear them no more,” he said in German. “It’s not possible after what happened in the game. I cannot do it, not going to wear it again. We will do giveaways for everyone who wants them. I’ll donate, so text me.”
Kyrie probably won’t be too bothered. Nike, on the other hand, knows every customer counts.
