Chicago Bulls were officially ruled out of the possibility of participating in the play-in tournament this season. As a result, the Chicago franchise will have to look its future with many important decisions being on the table.

After the Chicago Bulls 114-102 victory over the Toronto Raptors, Billy Donovan was asked about Lauri Markkanen’s future with the team.

“I haven’t had any conversations with Arturas or Marc on that. I would just say this: I really, really love Lauri as a player. He’s a great guy. And he has been an incredible teammate. And he has sacrificed a lot,” Donovan said.

The veteran coach clearly danced around this question, however the former 7th overall pick of the 2017 Draft had many ups and down in the last couple of seasons.

Markkanen will be a free agent in the upcoming offseason, and it seems unlikely that the Bulls will keep the promising forward in their roster.
