It seems Julius Randle didn’t want to play alongside LeBron James, when the latter signed with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018.

Per Ricky O’Donnell of SB Nation, Randle asked the Lakers to let him enter unrestricted free agency once James agreed to a deal with the team.

“When LeBron James committed to the Lakers on the first day of free agency in the summer of 2018, Randle asked the franchise to allow him to become an unrestricted free agent,” O’Donnell reported, via Fadeaway World.

Randle went on to sign with the New Orleans Pelicans and is now playing for the New York Knicks, where he has become the star of the team and has helped the Knicks clinch a playoff spot.

On the other hand, LeBron James led the Lakers to their 17th NBA championship in the Orlando ”bubble” last October.
