The Los Angeles Lakers are likely to have to earn their playoff spot via the play-in tournament. There is little doubt among analysts that the reigning NBA champions will be able to qualify for the postseason.
According to seven-time NBA champion Robert Horry, the Lakers should be able to repeat as NBA champions this year. “The Clippers are the only team in the West that scares me because they match up well,” he said on Spectrum SportsNet.

I want that to happen. I’ll be even happy if they fall down to the eight spot to be honest with you. That way they don’t have to face the Clippers until the Western Conference finals.”
