Zach LaVine could reportedly give Chicago Bulls ‘discount’ if the team adds ‘key role players’

Zach LaVine is due to sign a max contract next season, however the Chicago Bulls may have a way to give their star less if they add key role players.

According to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Time:

“The Sun-Times, as well as several other media outlets, reported at the start of the 2020-21 campaign that it was important for LaVine to be given max money moving forward.

However, there are several sources who said that might not be the case any longer, as adding key role players around him could persuade LaVine to give the Bulls a slight discount.”

The Bulls added Nikola Vucevic during the 2021 trade deadline on March hoping to make the playoffs, however things did not go according to the plan.

Billy Donovan’s team won just 10 of their last 26 games being 2.5 games behind the 10th-seeded Washington Wizards, who need one more win to secure a play-in spot.
