Marc Gasol talks about playing alongside Montrezl Harrell

The Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel recently experimented by putting Marc Gasol and Montrezl Harrell on the court at the same time.

Ahead of the game against the New York Knicks, the Spanish center was asked to talk about his experience of sharing the court with Harrell.

“I think offensively it can work just fine,” Gasol said. “Just because the nature of each other and how we play and I’m able to read behind and kind of fill in depending on what the defense gives us.

“And on the other site we just have to do a better job of communicating beyond a string. Everyone needs to be aware that it’s an adjustment process when that lineup is on the floor, to be extra alert because we both going to gravitate for our instincts a little more towards the ball so we have to work in tandems and the other three guys need to be aware of that.

“They need to be a little more alert on rotations and communication. But it’s nothing that it’s not possible to work. You need to work on it you need to have a growth mindset when you through those things and lineups. And yeah it’s basketball so we should be fine.”
