After taking down one of the top teams in the league, the Phoenix Suns, the Los Angeles Lakers will face the New York Knicks, a team that is currently in the fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
Most recently, the Knicks defeated the Clippers at Staples Center to snap a two-game losing streak. They defeated the Lakers as well in their first meeting in April.
Lakers head coach Frank Vogel spoke highly of his next opponent. “The Knicks are playing exceptional basketball this year,” he said. “To come in and beat the Clippers on their home floor is a big-time win. Coach Thibs has done a phenomenal job on both sides of the ball with their defence and the way they’re playing offensively and they he’s using Julius [Randle].
“I think he’s done just an exceptional job with their group. We’ll have to play our best basketball to beat them even with AD playing well we’ll have to be in our best.”
