Frank Vogel is not confident the Lakers will avoid the play-in tournament for their qualification for the playoffs.
More specifically, Vogel doesn’t think it is likely the Lakers will climb to sixth in the West and secure their spot in the postseason.
“Frank Vogel admits “it looks unlikely” the Lakers will finish in the top six,” Ryan Ward of Lakers Nation reports.
Vogel and the Lakers have lost eight of their last 10 games and have dropped to seventh in the standings (37-30) and within the play-in tournament zone.
For their part, the Blazers (39-29) and the Mavericks (39-28) are 1,5 and two games ahead of the Lakers, respectively.
