The Los Angeles Lakers are facing a real possibility of dropping below the sixth place in the Western Conference and having to fight for a playoff spot through a play-in tournament.
According to sports analyst Brandon Marshall, while the teams there might not be the best ones, there will still be tough opponents and the reigning NBA champions and their star LeBron James could have their season end early.
“The play-in might not be a gauntlet of alligators, but there are catfish down there. And if the Lakers lose, LeBron will be on a banana boat fishing,” Marshall said on First Things First.
