For the first time in his career, Andre Drummond is playing for a team that has the only goal – winning a championship. Naturally, his role is different from those he had before.

Being a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, he is expected to focus on defense more. “I think when I got here I knew that it was going to be quite a change for myself personally and as for the team because they’re getting a guy that is coming from a team that did everything,” Drummond said ahead of the Clippers game.

“Defensively, offensively I did a lot of stuff so it’s really mainly figuring out how to adjust to each other. So when I got here I knew that my role was going to change. I was well aware of that. So it wasn’t a shock for me to see some of the nights that I had while I was here.

“But just to impact this team on defense and score when I can offensively was my biggest thing and what I know I’m capable of doing. So it’s just getting that chemistry and that playing with these guys. We don’t have a lot of time to jell. So we got to what we can on the fly.”
