Lonzo Ball tied his career high of 33 points as he helped the New Orleans Pelicans defeat the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday. The 23-year-old point guard also grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 4 assists.

The eldest of the Ball brothers bounced back from a disappointing performance a day earlier in the first game of the back-to-back against the Dubs when he had just 7 points on a 16.7% shooting.

His teammate Zion Williamson was impressed by Lonzo’s words before the game. “Lonzo texted me last night after the game and (said) he was going to show up today, and his apologies on (Monday). Those were big words. He showed today what he’s all about,” Zion revealed, per Jim Eichenhofer.

The Pelicans continue their quest for a spot in the play-in tournament. With 30 wins and 36 losses, they are currently sitting at the 11th place in the Western Conference, just outside the play-in tournament spots. Above them are the San Antonio Spurs with a 31-33 record.
