Lakers’ Dennis Schroder out 10-14 days

Los Angeles Lakers guard Dennis Schroder is expected to miss 10-to-14 days due to health and safety protocols, according to Shams Charania.

Schroder entered the protocols on May 2.

While it hasn’t yet been confirmed, that timeline is typically for players who have registered a positive COVID-19 test.

Schroder, 27, will now likely miss the rest of the regular season.

The Lakers have eight regular season games left with their final game coming on May 16 against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Without Schroder in the lineup this season, the Lakers have gone 0-5.

Things are going bad to worse for the team, as LeBron James left the team’s game against the Toronto Raptors on May 2 with a sore right ankle, the same ankle that he missed 20 games with a high ankle sprain.

The Lakers currently are 36-28 and sit at No. 7 in the Western Conference, the first play-in spot.
