Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James re-injured his ankle during Sunday’s matchup vs. the Toronto Raptors. James departed the 121-114 loss to the Toronto Raptors with 6:42 remaining in the contest.

The Lakers’ superstar is battling with ‘some soreness’ according to head coach Frank Vogel (hat tip to metro.us). This is the same right ankle that caused James to miss 20 consecutive games before making his return to the lineup Friday.

James is in a ‘wait and see’ mode regarding his availability for Monday’s contest vs. the Denver Nuggets. This was the second game back for him after missing 20 games with an ankle injury.

“The plan is to see how I feel and go from there,” James said on the situation claiming that he felt his right ankle a little sore.

The Lakers are facing the Nuggets in their second game of a back-to-back as they are hoping to avoid the play-in tournament with nine games remaining for the end of the regular season.
