Fenerbahçe forward Jan Vesely was fined with 4,500 by the EuroLeague because of “actions that represent a lack of respect towards the officiating crew”.

Vesely received his fifth foul early in the second half of his team’s loss vs. CSKA Moscow on Wednesday. The veteran forward received a technical foul after his ejection as he protested against the official’s decision.

(via EuroLeague Basketball):

“Mr. Jan Vesely, player of Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul has been sanctioned with a fine of €4,500 for actions that represent a lack of respect towards the officiating crew on occasion of his club’s home game against CSKA Moscow on April 28, 2021 under Article 27.2.b) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.”

Fener eventually lost the series to CSKA as the Russian club swept Igor Kokoskov’s team after prevailing with an 85–68 win in Game 3.
