Clippers sign Yogi Ferrell for the rest of the season

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Los Angeles Clippers signed Yogi Ferrell for the remainder of the season. The undersized guard signed a 10-day contract with the team on April 19.

Since then, he’s played in three of the Clippers’ five games, averaging 4.7 points and 3.3 assists in 9.7 minutes of play. The Clippers will have the option to keep Ferrell next season, according to Wojnarowski.

With eight games remaining for the end of the regular season, the Clippers are missing Patrick Beverley with a fractured hand, and there is still no timetable for his return.

Ferrell will feel the need as a third-string point-guard for the Clippers as the team is heading in the postseason, hoping to win a title.
