Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis was not happy with his team loss to the red-hot Washington Wizards on Wednesday night.

Davis claimed the Lakers need to find their sense of desperation as the regular season come to an end and Frank Vogel’s team is fifth in the West.

“We control our own destiny,” Davis told reporters, per ESPN. “So we have to start playing with a sense of desperation, even though we are in the playoffs as of right now. But we’re not that far off from being in play-in games. So we’ve got to play with a sense of desperation, as well.”

The Lakers hope to avoid the play-in tournament being 2.5 games ahead of the 7th-seeded Portland Trail Blazers. The team is still missing LeBron James, who is out indefinitely with a high ankle sprain.
