Bayern Munich avoided the sweep in the EuroLeague playoffs claiming the first victory in the history of the club in the competition’s postseason.

Bayern cut the deficit to 2-1 and remained alive in the series against Olimpia Milano, thanks to Vladimir Lucic’s huge night.

The Serbian forward led the way for the home team with 27 points and seven rebounds, helping the German powerhouse claim an 85-79 victory over Milano.

Andrea Trinchieri’s team took an early 23-9 lead in the first quarter of the game, before making a crucial 14-0 run in the third quarter as Bayern had the advantage heading in the last 15 minutes of the outing (55-38 on 35′).

Milan tried to return to the game’s contention, however the German powerhouse held off Mesina squad’s potential comeback.

For Olimpia Milano, Malcolm Delaney scored 18 points. Milano will have the chance to close out the series on Friday in Game 4, which will take place in Munich.
