Sixers’ Doc Rivers on Ben Simmons’ return vs. OKC: “I thought he was great”

Doc Rivers was delighted to see Ben Simmons back in the lineup after missing four games due to a non-COVID related illness.

(via Sixerswire):

“I thought he was great,” Rivers said. “The first played a game we got 3. It was created by Ben Simmons, so I think he was really good.

I thought defensively, he was even better. You can see he had his legs, he had great energy so that was good. Good team win. We needed to win that one.”

Simmons’ usual production was there having a huge impact on the defensive end. He also put up 12 points and four assists in the Sixers’ 90-121 win over OKC.

The Sixers snapped a four-game losing streak vs. the Thunder and, now, they are preparing to face the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.
