Despite the likelihood of the Los Angeles Lakers entering the playoffs as the number five seed in the Western Conference, Anthony Davis is confident that his team is capable of eliminating any team.
“No matter where we fall [in the seeding], we know that we’re capable of winning a championship,” the 28-year-old forward told Rachel Nichols.
“Injuries played a part this season for us. We always say it makes a lot sweeter at the end. to go through something like this.
“I’d put us up against anyone. I don’t think no one wants to see us in first round… I know what we can do. I think we’re capable of beating anyone in seven-game series.”
The reigning NBA champions are currently in the fifth place in the West with 35 wins and 24 losses. They are behind the Denver Nuggets (38-21) and above the Dallas Mavericks (32-26).
