Milano steals Game 1 vs. Bayern Munich with Zach LeDay’s buzzer-beater

Olimpia Milano was able to recover from a 19-point deficit to claim a 79-78 win over Bayern Munich to take the lead in the best-of-five series of the EuroLeague playoffs.

Zach LeDay was the hero of the moment for the home team, making a buzzer-beating layup off an alley-oop from the sideline.

Bayern had the chance to win taking a 77-78 lead after James Gist hit both of his free throws with one second remaining on the clock in regulation.

LeDay had a huge impact on the last five minutes of the game finishing the contest with 17 points, seven rebounds and two assists, while Sergio Rodriguez, who hit a huge three with less than a minute remaining, had 17 points and seven assists.

Bayern took a 19-point (44-25) lead at the first half, but Milan bounced back with the experience of Sergi Rodriguez and Kyle Hines.

Dennis Seeley had 25 points making five threes along with six rebounds and two assists. JaJuan Johnson and Wade Baldwin followed him with ten points each.
