Steph Curry after 49-point performance vs. Sixers: “It was a fun game for us”

Golden State Warriors returned to 500. Monday night after another stellar performance from Stephen Curry. The two-time NBA MVP led the Warriors to a 107-96 win over the undermanned Philadelphia 76ers.

Curry finished with 49 points, and hit at least 10 threes for the fourth time in his last eight games helping the Warriors return to their winning ways after the loss to the Boston Celtics.

(via NBC Sports Bay Area):

“We played our butts off tonight all the way through,” Curry said. “Obviously short-handed [without Juan Toscano-Anderson]. We know they had [Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris] missing, too.

But coming off a tough game in Boston, turn back around and win a game like we did tonight — with the start that we had tonight — was huge. Everybody contributed. We know how tough Joel [Embiid] is. It was a fun game for us.”

Steve Kerr’s squad got back to .500 (29-29) with the win, and within a game of the eighth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference playoff race.

They will close a three-game stand in the East against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday going into the matchup having won four of the last five contests.
