Zenit Saint Petersburg and Xavi Pascual agreed on a contract extension, according to Donatas Urbonas. The new deal is expected to be announced soon.

Pascual led Zenit to its first EuroLeague postseason appearance this season. He joined the club from Russia on February of 2020.

Zenit finished the regular season with a 20-14 record improving from the last season’s 8-20 that ranked them as the worst team in the competition.

The team will clash against the first-placed Barcelona in the playoffs on Wednesday in a best-of-five series for a place in the EuroLeague Final Four.
