Mike James is expected to join the Brooklyn Nets until the end of the season, according to Chema De Lucas. The Nets’ interest in CSKA’s star guard was first reported by Eurohoops.net.

The past month, James was suspended following an altercation with his head coach Dimitris Itoudis. Since then, the veteran guard is looking for a way out of the club from Russia.

The American guard, who has two years remaining on his contract with CSKA Moscow, has been allowed to leave Russia for an NBA opportunity after his altercation with coach Itoudis.

This season, the 30-year-old is averaging 19.3 points and 4.7 assists in 27 EuroLeague games. James has 36 NBA games under his belt with the Suns and the Pelicans.
