Steph Curry on his 10-game streak of 30+ performances: “This season’s required something a little bit different”

Steph Curry put up another impressive showing on Saturday night prime time vs. the Boston Celtics registering a 47-point performance at Boston Garden.

However, his heroics were not enough for the Golden State Warriors as they dropped under .500 (28-29) again. After the game, the Warriors’ superstar was asked about his 10-game streak with 30+ points.

(via ESPN):

“Statistically, it is for sure,” Curry said on if this is the best stretch of his career. “This season’s required something a little bit different. I’m trying to meet that moment. It’s a fun brand of basketball; just trying to put wins together with it.

And I have supreme confidence; I’ve been blessed with a very special skill set that I’m trying to continue to master and hone and get better at.

And that’s showing, the work is showing, so I’m trying to obviously sustain that for this season because it’s required for us to get to where we want to go.”

The Warriors could get away with the win in Boston despite Curry’s stellar performance, however he had the chance to make history again this season.

The 12-year veteran superstar became the first player since Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant to score at least 30 or more points in 10 straight games at age 33 or older.

With Curry being on fire for the last 16 games of the season, the Warriors are hoping for a strong run to avoid the play-in tournament and return to the postseason after a one-year absence.
