The Cleveland Cavaliers are converting two-way forward Lamar Stevens to a multiyear NBA contract, according to Shams Charania.

This move means that Stevens will have a spot on the team’s 15-man roster.

It will be a four-year, non-guaranteed deal for Stevens that includes a team option attached to the final year, notes Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com

In 37 games, the 23-year-old rookie from Penn State is averaging 4.4 points and 2.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 45.2 percent from the field in 13.1 minutes per game.

Stevens had his best game on March 19 when he recorded his first career double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Another highlight of his season came when he had the game-winning dunk in the final seconds against the Atlanta Hawks on Feb. 23.
