The New York Knicks extended their winning streak to three games by taking down the Los Angeles Lakers at Madison Square Garden (111-96).

After the game, Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau spoke highly of the reigning NBA champions and their depth even with LeBron James and Anthony Davis being out.

“They’ve been impressive with LeBron out and Davis out,” said Thibodeau. “Again, I think it’s a team that’s built on defense. They play together, they share the ball.

[Dennis] Schroder is a load to deal with. [Andre] Drummond puts enormous pressure on you rolling to the rim as does [Montrezl] Harrell. And they surrounded them with shooting. It’s a very hard playing team.

“KCP is a tough matchup. Wes Matthews has been a good player in the league for a long time. [Markieff] Morris can stretch you out. [Kyle] Kuzma. They have great versatility, they play multiple positions. You have to ready for different lineups. It’s a tough team.”
