The Denver Nuggets took advantage of the Los Angeles Lakers’ struggles and climbed to the fourth place in the Western Conference. They are now on an eight-game winning streak.
The team’s star Nikola Jokic played a major role in the Nuggets’ success. His most recent performance was against the San Antonio Spurs. The Serbian center had his 54th career triple-double (26 points, 13 rebounds and 14 assists) as Denver won the game 121-119.
After the game, Gregg Popovich praised Joker’s passing ability. “That’s why they are a hell of a team,” he said, per Tom Orsborn. “Jokic is maybe the best passer in the league – certainly the best big-man passer – and better than most wings. He sets the table for everybody. He’s great.”
