Otto Porter staying with Magic

Otto Porter has had no buyout discussions with the Orlando Magic and is on course to finish the season with the team, according to Marc Stein of the New York Times.

Porter also had no buyout discussions with the Chicago Bulls before they traded him to the Magic in the Nikola Vucevic deal at the trade deadline.

Porter will remain a solid veteran presence for a young, rebuilding team.

The 27-year-old is in the final season of his four-year deal that he signed as a member of the Washington Wizards and will hit free agency in the offseason.

In three games with the Magic, Porter is averaging 8.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game in 22.0 minutes per game.

He will miss a fourth straight game tonight due to left foot pain.
