The NBA took disciplinary action against five players that were involved in the scuffle during the game between the Toronto Raptors and the Los Angeles Lakers.

The reigning NBA champions will have to deal without Talen Horton-Tucker while Toronto will miss Fred Van Vleet, DeAndre’ Bembry for a game after the three players have been suspended for one game without pay. The suspension was due to “leaving the bench during an on-court altercation”.

Meanwhile, the Raptors’ forward OG Anunoby has been fined $30,000 “for initiating the incident by grabbing Schroder by the leg and recklessly flipping him to the ground after the two became entangled following a common foul committed by Schroder”.

Lakers’ backup center Montrezl Harrell has been fined $20,000 “for aggressively entering the altercation and shoving Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr.”

As a result of suspension, Horton-Tucker will miss tonight’s game against the Heat. Bembry will serve his suspension in the game against the Bulls, while Van Vleet will have to wait for his suspension to take place once he is cleared from injury.
