Steve Nash on Kevin Durant’s return vs. Pelicans

Steve Nash was happy to see Kevin Durant back in the Brooklyn Nets uniform Wednesday, as his team decimated (111-139) the New Orleans Pelicans.

After the game, Nash told reporters that he appreciated the return of the star. Durant stayed on the floor for 19 minutes going for a ‘perfect’ 17-point performance along with seven rebounds and five assists.

As the Nets climbed up the Eastern Conference rankings (35-16) during Durant’s absence, mainly thanks to Kyrie Irving and James Harden, Nash is expected Durant to add to Brooklyn’s dominance.

(via Bleacher Report):

“He’s gonna make guys better,” he said. “He demands a lot of attention and creates a lot of space on the floor. He’s a shot-maker, but he creates a lot for his teammates, as well, whether it’s through passing or just his presence. … I think a lot of combinations are gonna improve because of him being back in the lineup.”

Even though their superstars missed several games this season so far, the Brooklyn Nets remained a dominant force and that’s pretty scary for the other contending teams.
