NBA Launches Third Instalment of Jr. NBA Camp – Online Hosted on OWQLO

The NBA today announced the launch of the third Jr. NBA Camp – Online program hosted on OWQLO, the official Jr. NBA League app in Europe and the Middle East.

After the success of the first two programs hosted last year during the global pandemic, the third instalment of the virtual camp will take place on April 9 and 10 for youth players ages 8 – 16. Friday’s program will feature a basketball development session from 4:00 p.m. – 6 p.m. BST, while Saturday’s session will run from 10 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. BST.

The camp, which is open to app users of all skill levels and abilities, will be led by the NBA’s EME Basketball Operations team and will feature several former European NBA and WNBA players, including Dino Rađa (Boston Celtics), Igor Rakocevic (Minnesota Timberwolves), Nikoloz Tskitishvili (Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves and Phoenix Suns), and Anastasia Kostaki (Houston Comets) who was the first Greek player to play in the WNBA in 2006.

The Jr. NBA Camp – Online offers participants an innovative way to work on their basketball skills at home or in the garden in a safe and healthy way. The program will also provide young athletes and basketball fans across Europe and Middle East an opportunity to interact with and learn from European pioneers who made their mark in the NBA and WNBA.

Since April 2020, the OWQLO App has hosted Jr. NBA at Home, an interactive content series providing basketball workouts and drills that can be completed individually and in limited space to help young players around the world stay active and develop their game.
