The Brooklyn Nets received some positive news about Kevin Durant, but the team will now be without James Harden.
Harden underwent an MRI earlier today which revealed a right hamstring strain.
He will continue to rehab the hamstring and will be re-evaluated in approximately 10 days, the team announced.
After missing two games (April 1 and April 4) with hamstring tightness, Harden again experienced that same tightness on April 5 and only played four minutes before he was ruled out for the rest of the game.
Harden is averaging 25.2 points, 8.0 rebounds and 10.9 assists per game and is one of the frontrunners for MVP.
On the bright side, the Nets are expected to have Durant back, as he is listed as probable for the team’s game on April 7 against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Durant has only played 19 games this season, as he has been out since Feb. 13 with a left hamstring strain.
The Nets currently sit in first place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 35-16.
