Former NBA champion Andrew Bogut revealed that an unnamed player of the Golden State Warriors made it clear to Kelly Oubre Jr. that he did not appreciate him refusing to come off bench.

That is the role that the 25-year-old guard would have to accept next season when Klay Thompson returns, per head coach Steve Kerr.

“I’d love to have Kelly (Oubre) back next year,” Kerr said on 97.5 The Game before the traded deadline. “If that were to happen, it would be off the bench…”

The said player, according to Bogut, made his views known it in front of Oubre Jr., saying that Andre Iguodala, then a reigning Finals MVP, accepted such role he does not.

“Now I’m not gonna name the player, but I’ve heard the Warriors players didn’t take too lightly to those comments,” Bogut said on his latest “Rogue Bogues” podcast, per NBC Sports. “They basically made it pretty known that Andre Iguodala, a Finals MVP, was OK coming off the bench, but we have Kelly motherf*cking Oubre who won’t.

“And that was not directed behind his back. That was to his face by an unnamed player in that locker room who was not too happy with those comments.”

This season Oubre Jr. is averaging 15 points, 56 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game for the Dubs. He started all 48 of the games he played.

The Brooklyn Nets have reportedly offered Spencer Dinwiddie to Golden State in exchange for Oubre Jr. as the trade deadline was approaching. However, according to Dinwiddie, it was the Nets that rejected the Warriors’ offer.
