The Los Angeles Lakers opened a stretch of seven straight games on the road by defeating the Sacramento Kings. (115-94). According to Frank Vogel, the head coach of the reigning NBA champions, it was attention to detail that helped his team take the win.

“I just think our guys really had a high level of attention to detail with executing the game plan against one of the hottest offenses in the league,” he said.

“Sacramento over the last few weeks is the number one rated offense in the league. We had great concerns what [De’Aaron] Fox was doing, what Buddy [Hield] was doing from the perimeter and their other role players as well [Harrison] Barnes. Our guys just played with great tenacity, attention to detail and really just a had gem of a defensive performance tonight.”

The Lakers remain in the fourth place in the Western Conference with a 31-18 record. They are just a single win ahead of the Denver Nuggets (30-18).
