Pelicans’ Zion Williamson ruled out Thursday; Brandon Ingram doubtful

The New Orleans Pelicans will likely be without their top two scorers, Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram, for tonight’s game against the Orlando Magic.

Williamson is dealing with a sprained right thumb, while Ingram has right first toe inflammation.

The Pelicans initially worried that Williamson would have to miss several weeks, but he avoided a “major scare” and shouldn’t miss much time.

If Ingram doesn’t play, it will be his first missed game this season, while Williamson will miss his third game.

Williamson, 20, is averaging 26.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game, while shooting 62.4 percent from the field in 44 games.

Ingram, 23, is averaging 23.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game, while shooting 47.5 percent from the field and 38.6 percent from three-point in 46 games.
