Andre Drummond played just 14 minutes on his debut with the Los Angeles Lakers as he was forced to leave the game early due to a broken toenail, but he made enough plays for Derek Fisher to make early assessment of his game.

Fisher, who won five championships as a Laker, pointed at Drummond’s defensive plays as well as how he was able to read the game offensively.

“So as you can see, just a combination of good defensive activity contesting, blocking, changing shots at the rim and then also putting pressure on the rim with post-ups as well as pick and rolls,” he said.

“A player that the Lakers are going to be able to take advantage of, going to make their offense more efficient as they were in that first quarter tonight and also help them defensively.”
