As we’re approaching the final third of the regular season, teams in contention, such as the Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets looked, stacked up after claiming multiple All-Stars from the waivers.

The Lakers’ owner and CEO Jeannie Buss reacted to the Nets adding LaMarcus Aldridge during her appearance on Monday’s Stephen A’s World.

(via ESPN):

“It brings out the best in us,” Buss said. “When teams identify us as the team to beat and they gear up to go at us head-to-head that makes us work harder. So, bring it on.”

In recent weeks, the Nets added Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge to their core consisting of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden.

The Los Angeles Lakers made a similar move when they signed Andre Drummond following his buyout from the Cleveland Cavaliers.
