Doc Rivers not happy with Dwight Howard after ejection vs. Lakers

Doc Rivers saw Dwight Howard getting ejected in the first quarter of the matchup between the Lakers and the Sixers. As a result, Philadelphia played without a center for 42 minutes.

The veteran coach was not happy at Howard’s discipline playing against his former team. Howard got into a shoving match with Los Angeles Lakers big man Montrezl Harrell.

Howard got to ejected in the first quarter break, when he pumped into Harrell, while he already had one tech for a previous ‘back-and-forth’ with the Lakers’ big.

“I just thought it was very selfish play,” said coach Doc Rivers. “You got one tech. You can’t get another one. We just have to have better discipline.”

“I know there’s a lot of emotion, but we had one center on our team and he got thrown out,” Rivers continued. “I was not very happy with that one. I know it’s an emotional game, but he’s a veteran. We got to have better discipline.”
