By beating Crvena Zvezda with a score of 87-72, CSKA took a step closer toward the EuroLeague Playoffs ticket.

With this win, CSKA improved to 20-10 during the regular season, while Zvezda dropped to 9-22. The Serbian squad is without theoretical chances of advancing to the Top 8.

CSKA outplayed Crvena Zvezda mostly thanks to only 7 turnovers, better two-point shots percentage (home team 54.8%, guest 45.2%), and more rebounds. The home team had 39 (14 offensive) against 33 rebounds collected by the guests.

Dejan Davidovac scored a career-high 20 points in this game. Unfortunately, his amazing performance wasn’t enough for Crvena Zvezda to celebrate in the Russian capital.

Tornike Shengelia led the winners with 16 points, Daniel Hackett added 15, Johannes Voigtmann and Will Clyburn each scored 14, and Mike James 13 for CSKA. Already mentioned Davidovac was the best scorer for Crvena Zvezda. He was followed by Landry Nnoko, who scored 12, and Langston Hall (11).
