With Kyle Lowry surfacing as a potential trade target for the Los Angeles Lakers, sports analyst Shannon Sharpe weighed in on the rumors.

According to him, while the 35-year-old star point guard would help the reigning NBA champions, the team needs a big to solve their problems.

Sharpe specifically mentioned Andre Drummond and Hassan Whiteside as the type of players that the Lakers need to cover for Marc Gasol who failed to meet the expectations.

“There’s no one in this market that’s going to change the life of anybody,” Sharpe said on UNDISPUTED. “Lowry would help, but the Lakers need a big like Drummond or Whiteside because Gasol has been a major disappointment.”

Lowry, who won the NBA championship in 2019 with the Toronto Raptors, is averaging 17.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game this season.
